Cincinnati Art Book Fair

The Carnegie will host the book fair component of the Cincinnati Art Book Fair on the first level of the center and on the second level will present three curated exhibitions programmed by Matthew Higgs of White Columns (NYC) working with artists form Visionaries + Voices (Cincinnati, OH), Progressive Insurance Collection (Cleveland, OH), and Western Exhibitions (Chicago, IL).

The Cincinnati Art Book Fair satellite programming will feature an exhibition organized by Jerome Harris, a graphic designer, educator, and curator based in Baltimore. The exhibition As Not For: Dethroning our Absolutes hosted by the 21c Museum Hotel, explores the historic and contemporary contributions of black graphic designers through the lens of contemporary media. The Michael Lowe Gallery will present books and objects from their private collection of rare and influential international artist editions and writings. The CAC will host the kick off party and reception for the vendors, artists, speakers and will be open to the public. During this event, Miller & Shellabarger will perform their epic signature work Untitled (Pink Tube), a crochet performance project ongoing since 2003.
